ANÁLISE DO EUROPEU DE 2007 EM ITÁLIA (VERSÃO INGLESA)

EHF NEWS:
2007 Men’s and Women’s Beach European Handball Championships
The 2007 European Beach Handball Championships are over. The
last day brought spectacular matches and the usual shoot-outs to
decide the medals.
It is important to underline that the top teams of European Beach
Handball proved once again that high quality handball and fair play belong together: all decisive encounters were extremely fair.
The Italian women clinched fifth place after winning against FYR Macedonia and gave reason to celebrate in front of the enthusiastic Italian supporters. The Norwegian women beat Russia and finished their almost perfect championship in the third place. The Hungarian men took the bronze medals after defeating Serbia on shoot-outs.
Both finals were decided on shoot-outs.
Croatia beat Germany in the women's final,
while Russia won the men's tournament.
The European Championships ended with a spectacular show from the Parachuters of the Italian Army, but the real spectacle was provided by the 36 teams who played 178 matches during this fantastic week in Misano Adriatico, Italy.
